BLS Certification Time Commitment:

Traditional Classroom Format

  • 3.5 hours in classroom with written exam
  • Includes demonstration videos and participation in simulated clinical scenarios to reinforce skills prficiency
  • Required Student Text: BLS for Healthcare Providers, 2015 Edition. Students may borrow a copy of the text during class. The AHA now allows the book to be used during the written exam. Books will be available in the classroom for all students.

Blended learning with an instructor in which the student completes part of the course online and a hands-on session with an instructor.

  • 2-hour hands-on adult and infant manikin skills practice and testing at Quality Career Pathways

Tuition for Your BLS Certification:

  • $75 includes online course, skills practice and testing, and an American Heart Association Basic Life Support eCard valid for 2 years.

  • Demonstrate the appropriate use of an AED

  • Describe the importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation 
  • Perform as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR 
  • Describe the technique for relief of foreign-body airway obstruction for an adult or child

Requirements to Enroll in the BLS Certification:
